How it works
Working Principle of an MVR Evaporator
The material enters from the top of the evaporator and is evenly coated on the inner wall of the heat exchange tube through the distributor to form a liquid film. It flows from top to bottom under the action of gravity and is heated and evaporated by the steam outside the tube. The steam and the concentrated liquid are separated at the bottom.

Food Industry: Milk concentration (from 12% solids to 45%) uses a two-stage falling film + MVR system, reducing energy consumption by 70% and minimizing product nutrient loss.
Chemical Industry: Aluminum sulfate evaporation and crystallization uses a falling film system to achieve efficient evaporation and uniform crystal growth, reducing the risk of scaling.
Salt Industry: Seawater pre-concentration for desalination. A rising film evaporator concentrates seawater from 3% salinity to 15% before feeding it into a multi-effect evaporator, reducing overall energy consumption.

Daily Operation and Precautions for MVR Evaporators
Pre-Startup Preparation
1.Equipment Integrity Check: Ensure the evaporator body, piping, valves, compressor, pump, and other components are intact, with secure connections and no leaks or looseness.
2.Electrical System Check: Confirm that the electrical cabinet has no missing phases and that the power load meets requirements. Check switches and wiring for proper operation.
3.Utility Check: Ensure the cooling water, steam, and compressed air supply is normal, with a circulating water pressure of 0.2-0.3 MPa.
4.Liquid Level and Lubrication Check: Confirm that the liquid levels in each storage tank are normal and that the seal water tank has sufficient liquid. Check the lubricating oil level in the compressor and pump.
5.Valve and Equipment Status: Ensure that manual valves are in the correct position and test the electric valves for proper operation.
Normal Startup Procedure
1.Start the Cooling System: Start the cooling water pump to ensure normal cooling water circulation.
2.Start the Steam System: Slowly open the steam valve and gradually increase the steam pressure.
3. Start the Compressor: Turn on the compressor and adjust the outlet pressure to achieve the preset vacuum level.
4.Feed Operation: Slowly open the evaporator feed valve and adjust the feed rate to ensure the material concentration meets the specified range.
Operation Monitoring
1.Monitor Operating Parameters: Regularly check parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rate to ensure the equipment is operating within the specified range.
2.Cleaning Key Components: Clean key components such as the heater and condenser to ensure stable performance.
